God empowers His people to evangelize. The heart of God desires for for the lost to be found and saved. When Jesus saw the crowds of people that came to see him, his heart was moved to compassion, and he commissioned his disciples to pray for more Christian workers. (Matthew 9:36-38) At Destiny, it is our mission to transform lives, one step at a time. We endeavor to go beyond the walls of the church into the community and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through evangelism, we seek to introduce Jesus to the community so that people can encounter the fullness of salvation, love and compassion that God freely has to offer.
God empowers the lives of those who worship. Worship is a love activity. When asked, "which is the greatest commandment in the law?" Jesus answered, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Worship is communicating our love for God to God. At Destiny, we intentionally foster an atmosphere that is conducive for worship at any given moment in our service. We understand that worship directly connects the believer to God and therefore we create an environment that promotes the freedom to worship.
The church is empowered as people grow and develop spiritually. Edification is an essential component of every individual believer's spiritual journey. It is necessary for every believer to grow/develop/mature their relationship with God. Through this maturation process, believers are able to experience the fullness of salvation. At Destiny, we strive to build spiritually healthy people so that we can have a spiritually healthy church that God can use to execute His Kingdom agenda in our community. Col:2-6 & 7
At Destiny, we value spiritual growth and education. We offer christian education by providing Sunday Morning sermons and Weekly Small Group sessions at Destiny Bible Institute. Through our methods of teaching we seek to educate our members on the fundamentals of our Christian Faith
All Scripture is given through the inspiration of God without error and is the authority by which we live. It is the authoritative Word of God and is infallible and inerrant. It shares God's plan of salvation--His way of providing deliverance from sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith
There is one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God and man who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He died on the cross as the ultimate and final sacrifice for all mankind. On the third day he rose and is coming again for his people
Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every Believer.
Water baptism by immersion is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, through immersion in water, a faithful Christian, in union with Christ, dies (symbolically) with Him and is no longer alive to sin. The Christian is then raised with Christ to new life.
Salvation is the redemptive work of Christ and is received by grace through faith in the work of Calvary and repentance. Salvation or "being saved" means deliverance from the power of sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Roman 6:23 (NLT) “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Salvation is a requirement necessary to get to heaven and attain eternal life.
Communion is to be observed as a memorial to the death of Jesus Christ. It involves the sacred consumption of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ) as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice. It is a “sacrament—a ritual done in the Church that is commemorative of the actions of Christ that preserve and renew our faith and belonging.
